My big computer is broked, so I'm on the little baby sapphire, which is just a
s well, since I'm in my jammies, watching House, and getting little homework done.
In the past 3 weeks:
-Manitoba Showcase (Jan. 8) was fun, except for some rugrats sitting beside us who thought it was fun to flash cameras at us throughout the entire show. I was ready to rip them out of their hands and stamp on them. Such is what happens with a free show in Winnipeg. It's too bad that the Waking Eyes only got one song, but at that, it was great--way better than the Acoustic version of All Empires Fall that they did for a magazine website.
-Heather's partay! (Jan. 9) dressed like the Hives--or rather, H and I did! Sushi was delish, bowling was fun--and free.
-AC/DC!!! (Jan. 17) whooohooooo! The trip was fun, less some "bros" who put a serious dent in the bus's clean air, had a weird fascination with Sade's Smooth Operator, and were unbelievably awake despite our 5am return time.
Bryan wasn't always amused.
That band still puts on a great show. I was a bit disappointed with the crowd though; perhaps all Fargo crowds are like this---not excited in the least. Here's hoping for a Winnipeg show in the summer: maybe there are more hosers in Winnipeg?
-Sammy Roberts! (Jan. 22) Always a good show! And the Nuge was so dancey, it was great.I think I'm going to bring a sign that says "NUGE" next time, haha
.
-Modernized on Saturday (Jan. 24) was so much fun! What could be better than Wilson Pickett, James Brown, Nancy Sinatra, The Beatles, the Isley Brothers, and all by request? Good times.
Anywho, I'm going to save this puppy to add pictures from my other computer later (which, at the moment, is now working--but for how long) and off I go to do more homework.
