shine on

Ok, so toronto residence is pretty much confirmed, all I have to do is send my deposit and then sign the lease! exciting. only 22 days until we leave which just leaves me thinking to myself "holy holy crap". I still have a ton of stuff left to do before I leave...I work quite a bit, have 2 projects and 2 exams to finish up, my room should be tidied up, I need to pack (which is going to be a full-time job in itself...how much do you bring when you're going to be somewhere for 4 months?)

I'm actually super proud of myself for getting some more job applications taken care of...they've been in my bookmarks for the past week and I've been tied up in group projects. I think I have a hold on my surfthechannel/spider solitaire addictions.

I'm going to find it really hard to concentrate on school for anotehr whole week...

still trying to figure out how to fit a full term's worth of notes onto 2 pages. So far, I'm working with size 8 font, 4 columns, removing any free spaces, and taking out anything I know fo sho. I have a feeling I'll be up late doing this tonight and tomorrow...after this exam on Wednesday, I'll have 1 assignment, 3 group projects, and 2 exams to go...I'm excited! Still have a lot of work ahead of me though.

2 of the group projects require presentations next wednesday and I'm feeling overwhelmed about the amount of work that still needs to be done for both of them. In one of them, we've barely gotten started. The other one requires a lot of detail and research, so it's not as easy as a "let's meet this day and get it all done" group project. We know, as we met today and that's what happened. All of these projects, though similar to each other, are very different from anything I've done before and I think that's why I'm having trouble getting to work.

Oh, and because I want to play spider solitaire all the time.

Of course, I'm all ready to start studying for my last exam, seeing how horrible my last exam went. And then on Sunday the flu pretty much hit me on the back of the head...seriously. I finally woke up this morning for the first time without a splitting headache.

I've got an exam tomorrow evening and I'm not quite sure how it'll go. I've just been reading up on notes and hopefully that'll be ok.

After my exam, I have a bunch of other stuff to do...finish my christmas shopping, clean my room and work on a bunch of stuff for the bottom line. but for today, I'm just relaxing, studying, painting my nails, and trying to get rid of this sickness as soon as possible!

...and the panic continues!

I think I did okay on the stats 2 final, except it was a very strange experience. My prof kept coming up to me. The first time was to tell me to start my long answer to make sure I at least finished those. And then he actually looked at my work. And then he told me that the work I did on one particular long answer question was "unnecessary"...I don't know if that means I did it wrong or just did more work than needed.

And the strange thing is that I didn't notice him going up to anyone else and doing the same.

I thought I had a final at 9am this morning...this was the one I was very worried about. I almost had a heart attack/emotional breakdown because I didn't know where my exam was, I went back and forth between the two gyms in Frank Kennedy and couldn't find it. Turns out it was actually at 1:30pm today. Hence why I'm here talking to you right now.

I would post some pictures of Kyle Riabko from last week, I thought I put them on my photobucket, but I guess I was wrong. Oh well.

So 3 exams left. 8 days left.
I have Jet Set Satellite as a reward for getting this exam over with. Looking forward to that. And that's about it.

Grrrrrrrr I hate these computers at school...I just wrote a super long entry that everyone would be proud of, and it just closed on me.

My night should be slightly less insane after tonight, the gold medal game for IIHF hockey. I do work on Thursday and Friday this week but I will be able to get some stats studying done at work. Plus, I only work until 5 so I'll have the whole evening to study! I may even tape Law and Order and C.S.I. so I'm not tempted to watch them before my exam on Saturday.

Some noteables for the next little while:

• 4 Exams, starting Saturday, ending April 24th
• JOHN MAYER, 3rd ROW BABY!!!
• Stevie's birthday (we'll both be legal in all Canadian provinces! exciting!)

oh darlin, let's start again...

for the last couple of days, I have felt rejected. It's really difficult to deal with thinking that you are somewhat significant to someone and then...to not be.

I would like to thank Holly, Steve, and our delicious tropical chicken pizza for getting me through the difficult start of my long weekend.

This weekend has been mind-boggling for other reasons, too.

• I got the rough draft of my paper back for org. theory, and my prof said that it was well organized with "no major problems!" This excites me to no end, but I still have to finish it, and hand in the final copy.
• S and I watched the first Mission Impossible...as in, it's impossible to understand! We have no clue what it was about, still.
• Saw The Lookout. It was partly filmed in Winnipeg, so it was awesome to see the Millenium Library, the exchange district, and Wellington Crescent.
• International Women's Hockey. The Canada games have been fairly busy, and today (Canada vs. USA) was nearly a sellout (we had 3 more tickets to sell!). It was insane at the Porage and Donald doors, and by 3rd period, there was a crowd of about 30 people just watching a TV that had the game on. That was funny. Not to mention the fantastic game...it ended up 5-4, Canada, the final point being scored in a shoot out, at the 3rd round of shots. I don't understand hockey, but I do understand that this was drama.

Just under 3 days of school left, and my final final exam is on the 24th. that's just over two weeks away! Let's hope I can fit in all my studying along with finding undergarments for HB's wedding.
