vultures

I thought it was time to update, seeing as I've been out of school for over a week now.

Jet Set Satellite was really good, lots of fun in the front row with all of the regulars.

I ended up with an A in stats (whoot!), A in Managerial Accounting (double whoop), B+ in Management Science (meh), and C (what???) in Org. Theory (but not totally unexpected, as I bombed the midterm)
So I guess I'm ok with my marks.

Now, John Mayer was insane!!!
Kathleen Edwards opened..she is gorgeous, and super nice. I gave her some earrings.

Yay, us!

JM was FANTASTIC, bloody brilliant, and definately work the $80 ticket. I didn't manage to get a setlist, but heather did. Here are some photo highlights:

Last but not least, I must share breaking news: I got a full-time, government job for the summer! I'm excited! I won't disclose details, but it is located downtown (yay short commute) and will allow me to work events for ticketmaster, still. So, yay!

Time to clean (oh yeah, I'm on holidays and cleanin'!)

...and the panic continues!

I think I did okay on the stats 2 final, except it was a very strange experience. My prof kept coming up to me. The first time was to tell me to start my long answer to make sure I at least finished those. And then he actually looked at my work. And then he told me that the work I did on one particular long answer question was "unnecessary"...I don't know if that means I did it wrong or just did more work than needed.

And the strange thing is that I didn't notice him going up to anyone else and doing the same.

I thought I had a final at 9am this morning...this was the one I was very worried about. I almost had a heart attack/emotional breakdown because I didn't know where my exam was, I went back and forth between the two gyms in Frank Kennedy and couldn't find it. Turns out it was actually at 1:30pm today. Hence why I'm here talking to you right now.

I would post some pictures of Kyle Riabko from last week, I thought I put them on my photobucket, but I guess I was wrong. Oh well.

So 3 exams left. 8 days left.
I have Jet Set Satellite as a reward for getting this exam over with. Looking forward to that. And that's about it.

'juno about the Junos?

The junos sucked this year. Please have a host that won't win more than 50% of the awards. Please research information for opening speech (Chris Murphey is NOT from the prairies (although I wish he could be my homeboy!) Please don't show Chad Kroeger with flatironed hair--now he doesn't look like the might JC. And why not nominate some middle-of-the-road artists instead of either: ones that no one has heard of; ones that have supersaturated Canada and are looking to diffuse into America)

On another note, my fears have rotated.

I'm done my last Stats assignment that needs to be handed in. I finished both accounting assignments that are to be handed in this week (and along with that, done all the reading). I never have anything to do in Management Science.

Now, I have to worry about Admin Theory. I failed the midterm in that course with a miserable 45%. The first ever thing that I've failed that really counted (the only other time: a grade 4 french test on the body parts...and that's because I had just gotten back from having the flu) so I'm really looking towards my paper and final exam upping my mark. My paper is interesting. It's going to be about my time at McDonalds, oh so long ago. It's quite difficult to look back at my life and separate me from the "us".
I am supposed to be critical of both strengths and weaknesses in the organization. I'm finding it hard to do both because when I start thinking of one shitty thing, a couple more fall out of the woodwork. And because I can see the intent of some good organizational concepts, but know why they were flawed. Should I even talk about all of the great skills this job has provided me with, as it is asked on every job interview I will ever go on?
Just writing in here brings about some old memories, and makes me want to change the three concepts I've already decided to use. But I feel much more confident in this new one.

I think this has made me a bit more interested in finishing my paper. But not tonight. Tonight, I sleep.

And maybe I will eventually post my paper, if I'm proud of it.

7 more days of school.

why do I always feel like I'm in the twilight zone?!?

Yay for slacking!

Well, I'm not exactly slacking now, only sort of.

Because the next day I can hang out with the boy would be Friday, we hung out today and watched Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire. Yay for the boy liking Arry Poh-ter. And then on our way home we stopped at Tim's, who told me to play again (he was supposed to give me an Ipod Nano or a 42-inch plasma! He's a kidder...)

I started my stats assignment while waiting for Steve today at school, I got through nearly 1 out of the five questions. I finished two more tonight, and I've started two, to be completed tomorrow after I clarify some shit with my prof tomorrow. Boo for incomplete notes, despite being in every single class--and awake. And not talking on my phone loudly during class. Those disrespectful fuckers. Now, if they were in almost father-in-law's class, they would be outta there in 1/2 a second. Heh.

So I didn't slack tonight, seeing as I didn't expect to really work on my stats at all tonight--It was wishful thinking, which, with me, usually doesn't materialize, until today! This leaves me much less freaked out about tomorrow, as I was anticipating having to do the entire assignment, plus my accounting homework assignment for Thursday.

I think I'm going to hit the hay--despite the non-slacking, I still have a lot to do tomorrow evening, and I would like to see what it's like to get 8 hours of sleep on a weeknight. Strange occurance.

We're not going to take it!

I have my sense of taste! whoohoo! This is awesome.

My wisdom teeth removal went well. The swelling was minor, as well as the nausea. I started eating lukewarm soup and jello on Friday evening, several hours after the surgery, and started eating solid food - scrambled eggs, toast, casserole - the following day. I live for carbs so that first day kinda killed me. But I did adore the many hours I spent in bed, despite the minor bouts of pain my jaw throbbed.

Today I finished as much as I could of my stats assignment, due Tuesday, but some questions required looking at the textbook that I was supposed to get for the course, and didn't end up buying, so I must borrow the textbook from the fear-inducing university library, on reserve, in order to complete those questions.

Is anyone else addicted to Celebrity duets? Carlton from the Fresh Prince! some comedian, singing Styx and Twisted Sister. A blonde Lucy Lawless? CRAZY.

Time to get back to some good ol' accounting. er, and have some tea. mmm. and get some sleepies in.
