let it be.

busy, busy! (warning, lots of pictures!)

Last Thursday, the 15th, was the Waking Eyes. Here are a few of my best pics:

I heart the Waking Eyes, if you can't tell. I continued my quest to condition myself to the taste of beer, for coolers and cocktails are far too expensive. It's a good thing I didn't take a picture of that, it would probably look like a cross between "bite of lemon" and "old shoe". Not very attractive.
I had my first taste of Karaokee and I think I like it. Well, I think it's a bit more fun if the people you come with sing as well.
And that night was a sleepover at Steve's! very nice.

Friday, we went to the Pyramid and watched their battle of the band final for awhile, and then Steve and I hit up the Tim Hortons, and strangly enough, meeting his friends there.

Saturday, I worked, and later, went to see Nacho Libre with Holly and Blaine. I suppose it was alright. It was funny, but there was a bit too much fart/poop humour for my taste. Enjoyable, but perhaps not worth my $8 admission.

Sunday, the 17th, I made my earliest beer sale...8am! I opened the window to the kiosk and some guy comes up and goes "Oh good, you're open!" and promptly buys 6 cans of beer. People are crazy.
That night was a fundraiser for Easily Amused and Kyle Riabko, both of whom lost their equipment when it was stolen in Philadelphia.

Here are some pictures of Easily Amused:

I thought they were really great, in that they had both a female and male lead singer, which is a great dynamic.

The Waking Eyes, again! I think Heather loved I Can Feel It, which is, too, the song that I love!

Here are more pictures just because I love them so much (and I'm not leaving Steve the Drummer out because I don't like him...it's just that my camera doesn't like him!):

And finally, Kyle Riabko! Commence the swooning! Hehe. His parents, we found out, were in the audience that night, they flew in because it was father's day. As a result, when I offered a pair of my fabulous guitar pick earrings, his mum chose....aww! Here are some delicious pictures of him (and don't tell steve! hehehe)

on Monday, Monday, there was Colin James. It was an amazing show. I went with my mom and aunt, as my friends had to stay home to watch game 7, but it was ok. It was nice to go to a show and be the only one standing up at the stage, and to know that the performers see you, and only you standing there. Craig Northey was playing guitar in his band, which only bumped up the excitement of the show, as I love the Craigster. a little while into the show, a little girl came up to me and we danced together, it was quite awesome, and I was rather jealous when she caught Colin Jame's Whammy Bar. his actual Whammy Bar from his turquoise strat! Crazy. I took some great pictures, IMHO, here are some:

and I'm putting a link on here to my photobucket website, where you can find many, MANY, MANY more pictures. So go HERE! and...awesome. I will be putting it as part of the template too, so you won't have to dig around for the link.

Yesterday, we went to bingo, and afterwards, Jay, my mom, and I went to the Norvilla aka the Villa for Karaokee...again, I was the only one who sang. we went, and left, and the strange part was today when I went to buy bus tickets at Shopper's Drug Mart...the cashier asked, "Hey, weren't you at Karokee at the Villa yesterday?". it was just insane!

Today I was sort of upset that Steve only stopped by at my house after I finished work before he went to his friends house, but I understand that he doesn't see his friends as much as I see mine. And he's coming over tomorrow morning, and I think we're going shopping on Friday morning. SHOPPING! I haven't been in awhile...clothes shopping, that is. And we're only going because his mother gave him money specifically to buy clothes.

Finally, when I do have a lot to say on here, I don't want to write, because I went to the library today, which I haven't done in awhile either...got out some semi-adult paperbacks as opposed to the usual teenster novels. And read 2 computer/technology magazines while there, both of which had my new camera on the cover, heh. But I have to pace myself, I still have several days of work in which I'll need something to keep me busy.

Anyhoo, time for bed. I've been overexerting myself lately. As per usual.
