It ended up being just Steve, Jay, and myself on the trip to Brandon, but that was ok. I think we all had a good time. Our motel was attached to the bar in which Jet Set Satellite played, which was sweet...we drank before we went to save some money (which is good, as I have to start saving for tuition '06/'07, a new camera, and a possible family roadtrip to Minneapolis), and the concert was awesome. The crowd was weird (NOT because it was Brandon, as my sister believes I said...well, now that you mention it, Brandon is a smaller town which means less concert go-ers and therefore a smaller, more intimate show, but whatever) and included a crazy trip-hop dancer and 2 people very skilled in dancing in high boots, and a guy trying to do the splits while his girl held his drink. *sigh*.
Had some nice quality time with the guys watching Sex and the City, which they will deny.
The next morning we went for an early morning (ie, 9am) swim, our motel had a waterslide! which was very much fun.
Went for breakie with the other Winnipeg Jets (JSS fans) and the band eventually came into the dining room for breakfast. Had very much fun with my hashbrown patty. Hehehe.
Work was pretty busy when i got there for the evening shift. Was not happy to be working.
Sunday started rather uneventfully but eventually picked up. I spent most of the day waking up, having a shower, attempting some math homework, and then Holly invited me to a year-end party for the faculty she was in. V. much fun, I knew her other 2 friends she had invited so I had someone to talk to all night, albeit talking meant yelling overtop of the extremely loud techno music. I got pretty drunk, which confirmed why I don't usually drink that much. I hate drinking so much that I feel sick, at ALL. Upon arriving home, I had just enough co-ordination to take out my contacts, not enough to take off my makeup, and so I stumbled into bed.
Woke up this morning to you usually talk/yelling of my mother. It seems the extreme wind of yesterday had pushed our newly purchased screen tent-thing over, and ripped the top on the eavestrophe...fell asleep and awoke again when Steve got to my house.
He made us breakfast! Omelettes with cheese and bacon! Delicious, darling! When we get married, you can do the cooking, I'll clean!
And the rest of tonight will be spent studying for my Calculus exam which occurs tomorrow. I've got everything down, except for the limits. How I loathe thee...the math profs of the U of M seem to think it's funny to get you to use limits to solve something that could be solved another, easier, quicker, way. And perhaps I'll walk to get a slurpee...except that it's so cold today.
