when did I turn into matchmaker? I mean, I enjoy helping my friends feel good, but I feel so horrible when it doesn't work out. Like my friend, who is such a good friend to everyone, yet has trouble with the ladies. Like so many other guys out there. That's when I wish that all girls were like me, because before S, I was so lost with guys. I think I asked out guys 5 times before any of them actually said yes. Being turned down so many times sucks, I know. Even with S, I had to ask him out a second time. If it wasn't for that, we wouldn't be going out, and that scares me. Though I had a very short time in the dating pool, here's what I know

Don't:
- wallow in self-pity. It's not attractive, your friends don't enjoy it, and I mean, at least you're not dying or something.
-Spend all your time crying. Did you really think you were gonna marry the person? I don't think so. If you weren't destined to marry someone, it's not a BAD thing you're breaking up, it's just a life lesson.
-Date someone for the sake of dating. If you want hugs and kisses, make friends with a stuffed animal or go to the bar, don't waste your time.
-Try to win Nickelback tickets or buy Metallica tickets just to woe this person. That's just wrong.
-Worry about coming on too strong, because if you like someone, you should show it.

Do:
-Date someone you like, even if you aren't friends first. Dating someone you don't know brings an eagerness to work at the relationship.
-Dance if you feel like dancing, even if that hot little number over there is eyeing you like what are you doing? just dance! because there'll be someone else going damn, I wanna dance too!
-Take interest in your appearance. I know I like to know that someone is willing to put time into making themself look good.
